About Quiet Out Loud
All the tunes in this vinyl sketch were recorded directly from the mixer with no editing or digital clean up. During the early days of the Apocalypse, embracing the truth seems a far more productive endeavor than chasing after perfection.
By listening to this mix the listener agrees to accept the existence of dust, static electricity, audio interference caused by the presence of phantoms, and the occasional late night miscue.
The next few posts will celebrate the fact that is we, the people, who have the power; and no politician/ con-man, dipshit ICE agent, or boss hog Capitalist should ever be allowed to forget it.

The League of Women Voters (LWV) is a nonpartisan, grassroots nonprofit dedicated to empowering everyone to fully participate in our democracy. With active Leagues in all 50 states and more than 800 Leagues across the country, we engage in advocacy, education, litigation, and organizing to protect every American’s freedom to vote.
Founded in 1920, the League was a merger of the National Council of Women Voters and the National American Women’s Suffrage Association. Referred to as a “mighty political experiment,” it aimed to help newly enfranchised women exercise their right to vote.
Today, the League has expanded our vision of a more inclusive democracy where all Americans, regardless of gender, sex, race, ability, or party can see themselves represented in our government. To build this vision, we bring an anti-racist, social justice lens to the issues of:
- Expanding Voter Access;
- Fighting Voter Suppression;
- Money in Politics;
- Redistricting; and
- Safe and Fair Elections;
Additionally, we promote social and economic justice through the lenses of health care, the environment, immigration reform, and the Census.

A call to action, commonly known by the initialism CTA, is a strategic marketing tool designed to spur an immediate response from an audience, guiding them toward a specific action.
NNH began with the (perhaps naive) hope that it could be of service to folks who needed it. I wasn't exactly sure who that meant- Was it the potential readership? The Mutual Aid groups that would be featured in each post? Or other creative types (equally fed up with the constant "me at the center" paradigm required by our Tech Overlords) looking for a place to get weird and do some good.
SO, if you're out there- whomever you may be- Let me know. Leave a comment. Click a link. Tell a friend. Pitch an idea. Do anything to feel less alone in the world.
